Colin Holton - Performer / Promoter / Project leader
In my ‘day job’ I am course coordinator for the BTEC Music courses at Wiltshire College Salisbury. I have 20 years experience in the music industry including performance, promotions, events management, project leadership and tour management. I currently organise and run Salisbury Live, the weekend of live music in up to 25 venues across the city as part of Salisbury International Arts Festival. I have stage managed the Leftfield stage at Glastonbury (always at the wet ones, doh!!) and was musical director for the Glastonbury ‘Build a Band’ Youth Music project. My real love is composition and performance. I have a great deal of touring and recording experience gaining rave live reviews and even a single of the week in ‘Kerrang! magazine along the way. I am a song writer in residence for the Southern School of Popular singing and was musical advisor on the BAFTA winning drama ‘No child of mine’. I have worked as project/music leader on a number of youth projects over the years and I particularly enjoy this line of work.
