VIBES
Feel the VIBE!
Wiltshire Youth Arts Partnership teamed up with the Wiltshire County Council Youth Development Service, the Wiltshire Music Centre, Wiltshire Music Service and the Ethnic Minority Achievement Service to bring a stimulating and exciting day for children and young people of black and ethnic minority groups across the county. Click here for the offical press release of the event.
The key aim of the day was to raise self esteem and self confidence through activities that both stimulated and informed, and also celebrated the ethnic diversity that exists within Wiltshire. Musicians and performance artists filled the Wiltshire Music Centre with sound and vision throughout a very successful day. The experience and information gained at the event will be used to inform future planning of WYAP projects. Singer Kizzy Morrell, steel pan musician Toussaint Clarke and DJ Infinity created a musical buzz whilst renowned poet, Beyonder opened and closed the show, writing a fantastic poem that summed up the event. Most Wanted

Most Wanted was a very successful project that ran from November 2005 to November 2006. The ground breaking project gave groups of young people across Wiltshire the opportunity to programme and promote arts events of their choice with the support and guidance of professional arts venues.
From up and coming local bands to contemporary professional touring theatre companies the events were varied, exciting and most importantly promoted by the young people for young people.
Young participants were involved at every stage of the event management, from booking artists, maintaining budgets and writing press releases to advertising. A group of young assessors were also trained and supported by WYAP to contribute to the evaluation of the project.
Most Wanted was a Wiltshire Youth Arts Partnership project, supported by TheatreWorks, South West Arts Marketing and funded by Arts Council England.
